Protecting authors' intellectual property while ensuring the widest possible dissemination and lawful reuse of scholarly research published in Contemporary Innovations Journal (CIJ).

Overview

The Contemporary Innovations Journal (CIJ), published by Lujosh Ventures Limited, believes that authors should retain ownership of their scholarly work while allowing the global research community to access, share and build upon it responsibly.

Accordingly, authors publishing Journal Articles, Conference Proceedings, Open Books, Book Chapters and other scholarly outputs with CIJ retain copyright in their work while granting CIJ the non-exclusive right to publish, archive, distribute and preserve the published version.

This policy supports our commitment to Open Access publishing while ensuring that authors continue to receive appropriate recognition for their intellectual contributions.

Copyright Ownership

Authors publishing with CIJ retain the copyright to their published work. This applies to:

Important: If an author's employer, institution, funding agency or government body requires an alternative copyright statement, this must be communicated to CIJ during the submission process. Copyright statements generally cannot be modified after publication.

Rights Granted to CIJ

By submitting a manuscript to CIJ, authors grant the publisher a non-exclusive licence to:

  • Publish the work online and in print.
  • Assign Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).
  • Index and archive the publication.
  • Distribute the publication globally.
  • Preserve the scholarly record permanently.
  • Promote the publication internationally.
  • Include metadata in indexing databases.
  • Maintain long-term accessibility.

Creative Commons Licensing

Unless otherwise specified, CIJ publishes its content under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA) licence.

The licence allows readers to:

By submitting a manuscript through the CIJ Journal Management System or Open Books Publishing Platform, the corresponding author confirms that:

Third-Party Material

Authors are responsible for obtaining written permission to reproduce copyrighted material owned by third parties, including figures, photographs, illustrations, tables and lengthy text extracts.

Where permission is required, appropriate acknowledgements must appear in the manuscript prior to publication.
