Authors and editors submitting scholarly books, monographs, edited volumes, conference proceedings, textbooks, and research handbooks should use the CIJ Open Books Submission & Publishing System (OBSPS).

Submission Requirements

All manuscripts and book proposals must be submitted electronically through the appropriate CIJ submission portal by the Corresponding Author or Lead Editor.

  • ✓ Create a secure author account.
  • ✓ Complete manuscript or book metadata.
  • ✓ Upload manuscript files (.DOC/.DOCX).
  • ✓ Upload figures, tables and supplementary files.
  • ✓ Add all authors, affiliations and ORCID IDs (where available).
  • ✓ Upload Cover Letter.
  • ✓ Upload completed Author Consent & Copyright Form.
  • ✓ Upload reference list.
  • ✓ Pay applicable Processing Charges securely online.
  • ✓ Monitor submission status through your dashboard.

Editorial & Peer Review Workflow

Every submission follows a rigorous editorial workflow designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and the highest standards of academic integrity.

Step 1: Submit your manuscript or book proposal through the appropriate CIJ submission system.
Step 2: A unique manuscript tracking number (Inactive DOI) is automatically assigned after successful submission and payment.
Step 3: An Editor performs an initial editorial assessment for scope, quality, formatting, plagiarism, and ethical compliance.
Step 4: Suitable submissions are assigned to independent expert reviewers using a Double-Blind Peer Review process.
Step 5: Reviewers evaluate originality, methodology, significance, ethical compliance, and presentation quality.
Step 6: The Editorial Team evaluates reviewer reports and issues one of the following decisions:
  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject
  • Transfer to another suitable CIJ Journal (where appropriate)
Step 7: Authors upload revised manuscripts through their existing submission account. Revised versions should never be submitted as new manuscripts.
Step 8: Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, typesetting, DOI activation, production, and online publication.

Important Notice

Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure that their manuscripts comply fully with the CIJ Author Guidelines, Publication Ethics, and Formatting Requirements before submission.

Failure to comply may delay editorial processing or result in the manuscript being returned for technical corrections prior to peer review.
