Open Defecation Along Lagos West Corridor: How Poverty, Poor Sanitation Access, and Low Education Drive a Public Health Crisis
A new observational study along Lagos West's Badagry Expressway reveals that over half of residents practicing open defecation do so because hygienic toilet facilities are simply unavailable. Researchers surveyed 250 respondents across 13 hotspots and found that poverty, low education, and broken sanitation infrastructure are the primary drivers .
